Victorians are being warned to expect more unseasonable cold weather in coming weeks.

A top of 17 degrees is forecast in Melbourne this week, and weather is forecast to remain in the mid to high teens until the weekend.

Storm chaser and host of The Weather Guru podcast, Justin Noonan, says it’s “going to stay cold for the next several days”.

“We’re seeing front after front and these really cold air masses pushing north across south-eastern Australia,” he told 3AW Breakfast.

“The really warm temperatures are still a little bit away.”
