‘Gold standard of talkback radio’: Tom Elliott pays tribute to Neil Mitchell

Tom Elliott has paid tribute to Neil Mitchell, calling the outgoing Mornings host the gold standard of radio.

He congratulated Neil on his time in the role and looked back on the time he first covered for Neil.

“Neil’s record in radio is extraordinary, and will probably never be surpassed … he’s the gold standard when it comes to talkback radio, not just in Melbourne, not just in Victoria, but really in Australia,” he said.
