Golfer Robert Allenby arrested outside US casino

Australian golfer Robert Allenby has been arrested outside a US casino for disorderly conduct and trespass.

He was playing in the John Deere Classic in Illinois.

Allenby spent less than an hour in custody before posting bail of around $2000.

The golfer was the centre of controversy last year after he claimed he was robbed, kidnapped and beaten in Hawaii.
