A visually impaired woman and her guide dog have been cornered and threatened by a number of teenage girls at Ringwood Station.

3AW Breakfast’s Rumour File heard the woman was targeted yesterday at the station.

In a statement, Guide Dogs Victoria confirmed a woman, a client of the organisation, was allegedly threatened at the station yesterday and is shaken after the incident.

“A member of the public stepped in to support the Guide Dog user and ensured a safe passage to their destination,” the statement read.

“A family member then reported the matter to Victoria Police.”

PTV is also investigating the incident.
