Opposition leader left frustrated as government makes big call on machete sale ban

Premier Jacinta Allan is bringing forward the ban on selling machetes following two major knife incidents in Preston and South Melbourne over the weekend.
The dangerous weapons will now be banned from sale at midday on Wednesday.
Opposition leader Brad Battin told Tom Elliott he was frustrated that his repeated calls to bring forward tighter machete laws were ignored.

“We have tried to introduce this four separate times,” he said on 3AW Mornings.
