Australia will accept 12,000 Syrian refugees as promised despite the recent terror attack in Paris.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton told Tom Elliott he has ‘absolute’ confidence in the security checks Australia performs on people seeking asylum.

Mr Dutton also said he doesn’t think ‘good Islamic leaders’ condone extremists’ actions.

Earlier on Monday, Neil Mitchell said the government should review the promise to take in the 12,000.
