The federal government is working “quite intensively” on rescuing stranded Australians caught up in Iran and Israel.

Airspaces in both countries are currently closed following escalating tensions between the countries.

Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles said on 3AW Drive that his government was doing everything possible to bring stranded Aussies home.
