Corrections Minister urged to resign after failure to inform victim’s family of killer’s day release

The mother of murder victim Adriana Donato has called on the Corrections Minister Enver Ergogan to resign after he failed to inform her about her daughter’s killer’s day release.
Grace Donato told 3AW Drive she had to do her own investigation after a family member said they had spotted him at a shopping strip in Moonee Ponds.
“The Minister for Corrections should be resigning, the Minister for Women does not care … she should know better, she should be ashamed, and the Premier, who is always beating her chest on about domestic violence, has not even bothered to reply,” she said.

Ms Donato added she’s been left traumatised by this situation and claims her daughter’s killer was only moved back to prison after she made a stir about his move to the Lazarus Centre.
“We’re an ordinary family living in Melbourne and we get nothing,” she added.
