Greater Western Sydney star Adam Treloar requests trade to Collingwood
Greater Western Sydney has hinted at playing hardball with want-away midfielder Adam Treloar after he officially requested a trade to Collingwood.
But Caroline Wilson says a deal has already been done.
Treloar has rejected the Giants’ latest contract offer and is now destined for the exit door.
The talented midfielder has nominated the Pies as his club of choice, however GWS football manager Graeme Allan said the Giants would now look to achieve the ‘best outcome’ for the club.
‘We’ve had an attractive offer in front of Adam’s management all year but ultimately we have been unable to meet his financial requirements. We have no plans to deviate from the list management strategy that has proved so successful for the club to date,’ Allan said on Tuesday.
Collingwood said it was ‘thrilled’ to hear of Treloar’s decision and would now work with the Giants to facilitate a trade.
Caroline Wilson said on 3AW the deal was done ‘at least a month’ ago.

In a comment Treloar may live to regret, he said in May he wouldn’t be leaving the Giants.
