Greens leader says concerns about COVIDsafe app are ‘legitimate’

Greens leader Adam Bandt says he won’t try and “stand in the way” of the government’s new COVIDsafe app, but says politicians only have themselves to blame if people refuse to sign up.

He told Tom Elliott the government’s record wasn’t great with technology and it had done a lot to erode trust over the journey and now it’s needed.

“They’re legitimate concerns to have,” he said.
