The Greens are expecting to increase their vote in the upcoming Federal election.

Leader Richard Di Natale told Tom Elliott the Greens can win the Liberal stronghold of Higgins.

‘There’s no question that, increasingly, people are seeing us as a significant influence on Australian politics,’ Mr Di Natale said.

He said voters are weary of ‘business as usual’ politics from the two main parties.

‘They’re sick of the massive donations they get that influence what they do,’ he said.

He said alternative parties and Independents are good for democracy.

Mr Di Natale also said Donald Trump could be ‘a danger to the international community’ if he is elected President.

‘The man’s got some views that are, quite frankly, unhinged.’
