Greens leader ‘urges’ Labor to cooperate if election ends in hung parliament
Victorian Greens leader, Samantha Ratnam, has “urged” Labor to cooperative with their list of demands if Daniel Andrews’ party doesn’t form a majority government in the upcoming election.
The Greens’ list of demands includes banning onshore and offshore gas exploration and production as well as building more public and affordable housing.
Ms Ratnam claims the Greens won’t be dealing with the Liberal party but instead focusing on working with the Labor party.
“No we won’t be dealing with the Liberals, they are lurching further and further to the right,” Ms Ratnam told Tom Elliott.
“If voters elect a parliament where Labor can’t form majority in its own right, we’re urging them to work constructively and cooperatively with us to get a really progressive parliament.”
