Greensborough man caught a huge Murray cod with bare hands near Cobram

A Greensborough man has landed the catch of a lifetime at the Murray River.

Darren Jephcott was swimming with friends at Smithies Beach near Cobram when the 1.1m cod almost knocked him off his feet.

Darren and his mate wrestled the beast, capturing it with their bare hands.
