Gregory Keith Davies charged with murder, rape and abduction of Kylie Maybury

A 73-year-old man has been charged with the murder, rape and abduction of six-year-old Kylie Maybury in 1984.

The young girl disappeared at East Preston after going to a shop to buy sugar around 5.30pm on Tuesday, November 6.

She was last seen walking home south along Plenty Road.

Her body was found in a gutter the next day.

Gregory Keith Davies was remanded in custody on Thursday.
