Growing number of businesses allow staff to substitute Australia Day public holiday

A growing number of Australian businesses are giving staff the option to substitute the Australia Day public holiday on January 26 to another day, as debate rages as to whether it’s appropriate.

One of those companies is Workways.

CEO Kieren Kearney joined Tom Elliott on Thursday to explain why some of his staff would be working on January 26 this year.
