Gumbuya Park in for major facelift
One of Victoria’s old tourist gems is in for a massive facelift.
Gumbuya Park, the family fun park at Tynong, will be reinvented after new owners stepped in to save it.
Entrepeneur Gerry Ryan heads a consortium who’ve bought the park.
They intend to turn it into a wildlife park.
‘We believe that we can add to the zoo part as an attraction, especially to Chinese international guests, but also for school camps and excursions,’ Mr Ryan explained.
Also planned for the facility, about an hour’s drive east of Melbourne, are new rides and accommodation.
