UPDATE: Three people have been arrested following a dramatic incident involving a stolen car in the middle of peak-hour traffic on the fringes of Melbourne’s CBD.

A caller told Tom Elliott a gun was pulled during the incident.

Brylee said she was driving out of the CBD towards the Burnley tunnel when a blue car, driving the wrong way, approached her.

That car was then cut-off by another vehicle. That was when things got even more dramatic.

“There must have been about six guys that got out of their cars and dragged these people out of their car,” she said.

“There was a gun pulled.

“There was plenty of punching and aggression and god knows what else.

“I had the gun pointed at my windscreen as I was trying to reverse away.

“These two guys were pinning one man down with a gun to his head.”

Several other 3AW listeners reported seeing a heavy police presence around the area.

The Kings Way entrance ramp to CityLink has been closed.

Victoria Police has since confirmed it’s arrested three people in relation to the incident.
