GWS to face Commission tomorrow

The AFL cannot confirm whether any final determination will be made tomorrow at the Commission meeting regarding the ongoing affair involving the GWS Giants and Lachie Whitfield.
The Giants face charges of conduct unbecoming for allegedly hiding Whitfield from a potential drug test in 2015.
AFL Operations Manager told 3AW’s Sports Today that a decision might not be finalised tomorrow.
‘I don’t think we could make that call now, the hearing’s tomorrow,’ Evans said.
‘GWS will be able to present their case to a panel that has been put together by the Commission and then it will be up to that panel as to what they then recommend to the Commission.’
The Giants will face a three-man sub-committee comprising AFL chairman Mike Fitzpatrick and commission members Jason Ball and Paul Bassatt.
In other AFL news, it has been recently reported that AFL Chairman Mike Fitzpatrick will stand down early next year with Richard Goyder to replace him, however Evans was not prepared to confirm those details on Sports Today.
‘I hadn’t heard either, but if I had I’d certainly allow that tyo be announced in the right way!’
