Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston ruled out of final against Adelaide Crows

Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston will miss Friday night’s knockout semi-final against Adelaide with an ankle injury.

The Hawks ruled out their leading goalkicker on Tuesday, with the club saying he wouldn’t be fit in time.

‘He’s making steady progress with the injury, but not fast enough to be available to play on Friday night,’ Football Operations Manager Chris Fagan said.

‘Hopefully if we can get a win on Friday night, he’ll be back in calculations for the following week.’
