‘He will play at Geelong’: Caroline Wilson confident Gary Ablett will return to the Cats
Caroline Wilson says Gary Ablett will play at Geelong next year, without question.
The dual Brownlow medallist has confirmed he is eager to return to Geelong and see out his career at Kardinia Park.
Gold Coast and Geelong have held trade talks but it’s not clear if a deal has been struck yet.
Speaking on Sportsday, Wilson said she believed he will return home next year.
“He will play next year, and he will play at Geelong,” she said.
“There is no other scenario. I think both clubs will do the right thing.
“Poor old Gold Coast will keep trying to get someone to go there.
“The AFL won’t let Gold Coast get nothing for Gary Ablett.”
