Health Minister after investigation into chiropractors

Health Minister Jill Hennessy has written to the chiropractic governing bodies to investigate its operators.

Chiropractics has been in the spotlight since video emerged of a chiropractor working on a baby.

On Friday, Ms Hennessy told Tom Elliott she has written to the Chiropractic Board of Australia and a Health Practitioner Agency to look into chiropractors’ conduct. 

‘We’ve clearly got some that are working outside their scope of practice,’ Ms Hennessy said.

‘They are making what I would say are false claims about what their services might be able to do.’
