Health system goes through ‘one of the darkest days’ after antisemitic video goes viral

A medical expert is horrified about an antisemitic video involving two nurses which went viral on Wednesday.

Two Sydney-based nurses have been stood down after joking about killing Israeli patients, sparking nationwide condemnation.

In an emotional interview with Jacqui Felgate, former Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Nick Coatsworth said it was of the darkest days for his profession.

“This is one of the darkest days I’ve seen for the Australian health system,” he said on 3AW.

3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate labelled the video “shameful”, admitting initially she didn’t believe the video was real.

“This is a shameful video,” she said on 3AW.

“I cannot believe this – it’s just vile.”
