Heartless thief steals cash from a donation box during a funeral service

Police are hunting a heartless thief who stole cash from a donation box during a funeral service in Bundoora.

It’s believed a man made his way in to a McLeans Road church with the funeral procession and took the box from the sign-in table, just before 4pm.

He then went to the bathroom and emptied cash from the box before leaving the premises.

Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to.

He’s described as aged in his 50s, balding, wearing jeans, a dark coloured t-shirt, runners and sunglasses.
