The Terip Terip CFA station is run by volunteers, who fight fires with donated equipment.
But thieves broke in over the weekend and raided it, stealing life saving water pumps, pressure hoses, chainsaws and handheld radios.

They even stole jerry cans filled with fuel, leaving a small rural community north of Yea unprotected.
Volunteers made the discovery on Easter Sunday, saying the area’s still recovering from the Longwood bushfire, and that finding the station stripped of tools used to keep people safe, has been a blow to morale.
They’re hoping people power will help them get everything back.
