Hepburn Shire mayor speaks on vigil for ‘terribly confronting’ Daylesford tragedy
Mayor of Hepburn Shire Brian Hood has spoken on the vigil which was held for the five lives lost in the Daylesford pub tragedy on Sunday evening.
Mayor Hood spoke at the vigil last night and said it gave “everybody an opportunity to support each other and come together as a community” as well as thank the police, CFA and SES.
“That was a remarkable feature, the way the community immediately reacted to what was a terribly confronting scene,” he told Tony Jones, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
