Council elections are approaching and choosing a candidate is often daunting.

Tom Elliott spoke with 3AW Drive Senior Producer, Tom Andronas.

‘There were 17 names on this list and I had heard of none of them?’ ? he told 3AW Drive.

Here’s how Tom Andronas’ narrowed down his vote:

  • No blurb or description about the candidate. GONE.
  • Spelling or grammatical errors. GONE.
  • Anyone promising to lower rates (in a given ward). GONE.
  • Anyone promising large scale climate change action. GONE.

Tom’s voted ended up going to a woman who promised to look at roads, rubbish and rates!
