A hero truck driver has come to the aid of an unconscious teenage boy who came off his bike on a busy road in Melbourne’s west.

Callum Price was riding his bike along Blackshaws Road in Altona North on Monday night, when his tennis racket fell into his bike spokes, causing the bike to flip.

A number of people saw the 14-year-old lying unconscious on the ground and did nothing.

Except a heroic truckie, according to Callum’s mum Vanessa.

“He went flying,” she told Neil Mitchell.

“There was an incredible truck driver who witnessed it.”

Simon later told Neil Mitchell he stopped to help because, “what goes around comes around”.

“Everyone should look after kids like they’re their own,” Simon said.
