Hidden footage from inside the Manus Island Detention Centre

Conditions inside Manus Island have been branded “inhumane”.

Shen Narayanasamy from advocacy group GetUp was smuggled inside the Detention Centre this week, and captured some of the asylum seekers’ living conditions.

Ms Narayanasamy told Tom Elliott it was “the most horrifying thing” she’s ever seen.

“They’re drinking rainwater out of rubbish bins,” she said.

“Regardless of any political affiliation, we don’t want to see people die on our watch, in our name.”
