High-speed police chase on Eastlink ends in dramatic arrest

A high-speed police chase has ended in a dramatic arrest in Keysborough this afternoon.

Callers alerted 3AW to the drama, which started on Eastlink earlier.

“It’s pretty hectic out here for sure,” caller Steve told Jacqui Felgate.

Victoria Police have released the following statement:

Police have arrested four youths in an allegedly stolen car in Keysborough about 3pm on 22 July.

The occupants allegedly fled from police and were monitored by the Air Wing as they drove erratically and at high speeds through Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.

The quartet are in custody and will be interviewed in relation to the incident.
