Melbourne Lord Mayor Sally Capp has hit out at suggestions Melbourne’s second safe injecting room could be located at the Salvation Army building on Bourke Street.

The Lord Mayor says she was not involved in or aware of discussions between the Salvation Army and the Andrews Government about the proposal.

But she told Neil Mitchell it’s the wrong location and the rumours have become “highly damaging” to traders in the CBD.
