Hoddle Street to get continuous intersection system to ease congestion, based on Utah model
Victoria has looked to America for guidance in its quest to ease the squeeze on Hoddle Street.
The move was officially unveiled in this week’s budget.
In a radical change, drivers will have only one option to enter a slip lane, if they want to turn off the main road at any point.
Otherwise, all traffic will need to keep heading straight.
It’s based on a concept first introduced in the American city of Utah.
