Home destroyed by bushfire at Wensleydale

A home has been destroyed at Wensleydale after a bushfire broke out on Monday.

The fire, near Anglesea on the surf coast, started on Monday afternoon as temperatures in Victoria soared into the mid 30s.

The CFA said the blaze was now under control, but not fully contained.

Tuesday has been declared a day of Total Fire Ban for most of Victoria, with fire fighters on edge about uncharacteristically dangerous fire conditions for this time of year.
