Little Oscar dozing in his pram is everything you need see to understand why donating to the Good Friday Appeal is so important.

The Preston bubs was discharged today, several days after life-saving open heart surgery.

His mum Sarah Rossiter, who dropped in for a chat with Neil Mitchell on their way home, told us about Oscar’s recovery at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

She also told of how mothers’ instinct played a role in identifying her son’s condition.

‘As a new mum it’s a bit hard to know what’s normal and what isn’t, but I definitely had a feeling he was a bit off,’ Ms Rossiter said.

‘It’s hard to explain, but that feeling was really strong and drove me to do something about it.’
