Homeless group protest at City Square

A protest by homeless people at City Square has entered its fifth day, despite protesters being offered emergency accommodation.

The group set up camp on the corner of Collins and Swanston Streets on Thursday.

There’s a makeshift kitchen with a kettle and gas fire stove.

The group of around 15 has been offered emergency accommodation but are refusing to move until they get a permanent shelter.
