Homicide detectives investigating two separate deaths yesterday

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating two deaths, one in suburban Melbourne and the other near Wangaratta.
Emergency services were called to an address on Great Alpine Road at Everton, about 20 kilometres from Wangaratta, just after 7pm last night after reports a woman had been fatally injured.
Crews tried to revive the woman but were unsuccessful.
A man was taken into custody.
Detectives believe the victim and man in custody were known each other.

Meanwhile, in the Melbourne suburb of Reservoir, neighbours reported hearing screams before the death of a man yesterday afternoon.
Two men, who are known to each other, started fighting at a motel on Mahoneys Road.
One of them suffered serious lower body injuries and despite the efforts of paramedics he couldn’t be saved.
