Homicide investigation: Man found dead in Ringwood driveway
A homicide squad investigation has started in Ringwood after a man was found shot dead in the driveway of a block of flats.
Police received multiple reports of gunshots shortly after 1am.
After a short search, a man was found dead in the driveway of a block of flats on Barkly Street.
It’s believe he was aged between 30 and 50.
Police have blocked a 200m stretch of Barkly Street while homicide squad detectives and forensics conduct investigations.
Police are door-knocking neighbours for information.
3AW reporter Pat Mitchell told 3AW Breakfast most neighbours have told him that they heard the gunshot, but didn’t investigate.

The Homicide Squad is investigating. No arrests have been made. Officers have been door knocking homes. One resident has told me she heard the gunshots but thought it was her clothes horse falling over. @3AW693
