Hong Kong activists and pro-China protesters clash in Melbourne’s CBD

Hundreds of protesters have clashed in Melbourne’s CBD on Friday night.

Hong Kong activists and pro-China protesters demonstrated outside the state library.

Police were needed to separate the groups.

The protests follow incredible scenes in Hong Kong, where millions have protested against an extradition deal with China.

Thousands have been injured in those clashes.
