Hospitality identity says Moomba needs big changes, or it’s time to scrap it

One of Melbourne’s most prominent restaurateurs says big changes need to be made to the Moomba festival, or it’s time to scrap it.

Chris Lucas, who owns Chin Chin and other restaurants, told Neil Mitchell the birdman rally and Moomba parade didn’t appeal to younger generations.

“Get rid of all that rubbish,” he said.
