There are calls for the Victorian government to allow the hospitality sector to host up to 20 people outside, now the state has hit its 70 per cent first dose COVID-19 vaccine target.

Wes Lambert, CEO of Restaurant and Catering Australia, said the sector could not wait until 70 per cent of the population was fully vaccinated.

Daniel Andrews is expected to announce some minor easing of restrictions this weekend.

“There needs to be some easing for businesses,” Mr Lambert told Neil Mitchell.
