Hot air balloon ‘crash lands’ in Docklands

A hot air balloon with nine people on board has come down in a restricted dock this morning.

It made the unexpected landing in Docklands about 9am.

Tristan was on board the balloon, which he says came to an “emergency crash landing”.

“We ended up flying over some shipping containers and landed against a barbed wire fence and a railing,” he told Dee Dee.

Tristan says the balloon was meant to land in Royal Park, but a last minute change in the wind forced it to make the emergency landing.

No one was injured.
