Hotel death: Army links to woman found in shower

A woman found dead after a bucks party in a city hotel room was reportedly a member of the Australian Defence Force.

Mystery surrounds the identity of a woman, found unconscious in a hotel room shower after a bucks party on Sunday morning.

The woman is yet to be formally identified.

But the ADF has refused to confirm reports she was a defence force member, saying it won’t comment while the matter is in the hands of police and subject to a coronial investigation.

It’s still not known exactly how she died, but an autopsy has ruled out foul play.

Tests have been carried out for illicit drugs, with the results expected to take weeks to come back.

Four men who were at the party, have been released without charge.
