Housing leaders weigh in on Victoria’s ‘ambitious’ plan
Premier Daniel Andrews this morning unveiled major planning changes for Victoria in a bid to facilitate the construction of 800,000 extra homes in the next decade.
Planning processes for significant housing developments will be streamlined, and 45 “surplus” parcels of government land will be rezoned across the state to deliver an expected 9000 new homes.
Heidi Murphy, filling in on 3AW Drive, asked leaders of the Property Council, the Municipal Association of Victoria and the Real Estate Institute of Victoria for their views on the plan.
