How Australians on Tuesday held ‘referendum’ on cashless society
Australians on Tuesday protested against a cashless society, pledging to go to an ATM and physically withdraw money.
April 2 was dubbed “Draw Out Some Cash Day”, with one petition organiser Jason Bryce saying the importance of physically currently was crucial to both children and the elderly.
“It’s like a referendum day,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Jacqui Felgate, on 3AW Drive.
