How draft changes led to a pizza throwing protest at New York’s town hall
An artist has been filmed throwing pizzas at New York’s town hall after the Department of Environmental Protection issued draft rules possibly signaling the end of wood-fired pizzas if stores don’t spend tens of thousands to get up to code.
The activist, Scott LaBaido, says he was throwing “the best pizzas in the world” as part of a battle cry.
“… That I’ve been dealing with as a New Yorker and patriot artist for the last 30 years because I knew and saw so many years ago that this woke political correct kangaroo crap … was just going to take over this beautiful city,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
