Melbourne Storm will forfeit millions of dollars of revenue by handing the club’s Victorian-based fans free membership for next season.

Storm members have only been able to watch their team five times over the last two years at AAMI Park because of COVID-19.

“It’s been a really tough period for everybody in Melbourne and we really recognise and acknowledge that,” Storm CEO Justin Rodski told 3AW Breakfast.

“We have been lucky enough to continue playing the game up in Queensland this year and we are so pleased that we have been able to keep winning, as well, and performing on the field, so that’s brought some joy to our members.”

Mr Rodski said the reaction from fans had been overwhelming.
