How New Zealand plans on creating a ‘smoke free generation’
New Zealand is set to introduce new laws that will prevent those aged 14 and under today from ever being able to legally buy tobacco in the country.
It’s hoped the policy will create a “smoke free” generation.
Professor Chris Bullen, Professor of Public Health at the University of Auckland, said it was hoped it would only further push people away from smoking cigarettes.
“People are certainly voting with their feet and switching from smoking to vaping in large numbers,” he said.
