How One Nation’s Victorian leader pulled off something ‘quite remarkable’

One Nation’s Victorian leader Warren Pickering has admitted to illicit drug use including methamphetamines as a young man, a day after denying allegations about his drug use made by his former partner.

3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate labelled his admissions “extraordinary”, with political editor at The Age, Chip Le Grand, stating Pickering pulled off something “quite remarkable” in his press conference.

“Normally this would be the end of someone’s political career, but instead it feels like it’s really sort of turbocharged his rise,” Le Grand said.
