A Templestowe College teacher has created an English elective where students struggling to engage with traditional English lessons are encourage to write video game reviews, as opposed to essays on old literature.

Tim Sproule, architect of the Level Up subject, told Tom Elliott the aim was get the students writing and form good habits with grammar.

“It’s a very experimental subject,” he said.
