We’ve just entered the most dangerous month on Victorian roads for the year.

And it’s predominantly driven by the “big five” factors, according to police – speed, impairment, seatbelts, distraction and fatigue.

Motorcycle deaths have also traditionally peaked at this time of year.

Victoria Police has launched Operation Engage to combat the issue.

“We’ve got the Grand Prix, Moomba – there is lots going on.”
