How school-leavers can address Australia’s farm worker shortage
The National Farmers’ Federation is making a pitch to school-leavers to take a gap year in regional Australia.
It’s hoped it will help address worker shortages.
Kayla Evans, AgCAREERSTART Project Manager, told Tom Elliott it was a great way for young Australians to travel, but also gain valuable work experience.
“All of our participants work full-time and get paid accordingly,” she said.
